Our homie Jef Hartsel is one of the many advocates who got down with the Elemental Awareness project, you might have even seen the commercial on TV that he was featured in with a bunch of the other participants.

So anyway, just the fact that Harts was involved in something like this was very dope, but when I first heard about the whole thing, I didn't realize that it would involve Jef having not only a collabo t-shirt and messenger bag, but also a deck!
A couple weeks ago Jef came by A'ala Park one night rocking his brand new board, and let me tell you, that thing is fucking sick. The shape is like nothing in Element's extensive deck selection, you really have to see this thing is person to truly appreciate how unique it is, but here's a couples photos of it:

The new graphic is a nod to Hartsel's original SMA World Industries design from 20 years ago, I remember this shit well in the shops back then because the colors and overall aesthetic of the board was so incredibly dope, and I also remember it well because I'm old as fuck:

DAMN!
That's the ill shit right there.
Couple this with the organic t-shirt:

And the Poetree/Element collab messenJAH bag:

Now that's a nice little package right there!
Solid shit coming out of the Element camp, gotta say this is something extremely positive and welcome in the skateboarding world.
Big up to marketing director and eternally Hawaiian shralper Ryan Kingman and the rest of the people over at Element that put this project in motion, nicely done, fellas!
Hartsel was also asked recently by his O.G. World Industries teammate Jesse "The Mess" Martinez to create a piece of art to be auctioned off at an upcoming benefit in Venice to aid Jesse and his family, and this is what Jef came up with, these pics are from the early stages to the completion of it, and it's entitled "Mind SK8":

Lordamerrrrrrcy!
I'm just beyond psyched to see all of this come to fruition, I can't explain how stoked I am for Jef and I am just glad to be able to share this shit right here with you.
Hell yeah, once these boards are available, it's on, can't wait to get my grubby paws on one.
