In4mation In Pearlridge

Yo, as a young shithead rocker I spent a lot of time at the Pearlridge shopping center.
Growing up in Aiea, this definitely was the epicenter of my formative years.
These days however, I have absolutely no reason whatsoever to visit this mall.
It's pretty fucking awful to tell you the truth, I mean maybe I'm just old and bitter (and by maybe I mean definitely) but Pearlridge looks like shit these days.
Don't get me wrong it's a beautiful mall. Really nice, actually, it's just the stores and people are wack as fuck.

UNTIL NOW!
In4mation is opening a store there tomorrow!

Thank God.
Those people out there need a shop like this.
If you can't stop by tomorrow, be there this weekend when they do the whole blessing and all that.
Go there if you have a chance, these guys deserve mad support.
KEEP IT LOCAL...CHEEEEEE!

Prease Don't Brog Me, Bro...Japan Day 1

ただいま!
Tadaima!
That means I'm back from Japan.
This past trip makes eleven times I've been over there if you're keeping track, it's safe to say that it's my go-to destination as far as vacation time goes.
Shit never gets old, there's always some crazy shit to see there.

Although the main focus of this one week stay in Tokyo was to visit my girl, I still managed to skate a couple of times, in fact the first time was pretty much straight off the plane when I got there.
I landed at Narita at 12 noon, my man Masa and his lady Miko picked me up at Shinjuku Station at 2:45, and we were in Yokohama at the Inter Style trade show an hour after that.
I had no idea that there was a trade show going on that day, and that there was a mini ramp and little street area inside the place.
I was like your boy Marvo and I said "LET'S GO..."

Straight to Sunny Yokohama.

Prease forrow instruction of this sign! Yeah right.

Stereo is big in Japan, the dude Hisashi Nakamura is on the international team, peep his board.

Like to party? Me too! Don't give a fuck? Me neither! I feel you guys.

In4mation tees on display.

Mini ramp was fun. Cho tanoshikatta desu!

Hella Japanese pros spotted in there. I grabbed Junnosuke Yonesaka for a pic and he was super nice. Check him out in the past few Cliche' videos, he fucking kills it. Also used to skate for Menace and City Stars back in the day, dude's no lightweight.

My man Venice Nogami from Osaka was there repping his Dorcus Clothing line. Me and this dude know a lot of the same people, and he's on some O.G. pro status in Japan. Check this clip that my man Junji filmed a little while back.

Post-trade show pose.

Headed to the Chinatown area. That's Chukagai for you honkeys.

Masa's sister has a store called Ragga China, I was looking to get the Nitraid DVD that just came out. They had it, I got it. Stoked.

Should have copped this shirt!

Sneaker heads were fiending for these.

Maybe a little big for Masa.

More like Shaq-sized.

Ended the day double-date style.

Fall Classics

Football started today.
No more preseason shit, this is the real deal.
First Raiders game is Monday night against the Chargers and that steroid built monster Shawne Merriman.

Anyway, football is of course awesome as you know, but to me, Major League Baseball is quickly becoming almost as awesome.
I don't want to jinx it but the Yankees are killing it right now.
Best team in baseball by a long shot at the moment, but who knows what happens when the playoffs start, it's basically a whole new season then.

Speaking of our national pastime, the Girl Skateboards family held a softball tournament a couple weekends ago and our favorite bumbaclotted boy Jordan took place in it along with fellow Hawaiian, Nike SB team manager Andy Henrie, peep the photo.

Jordy's team didn't win the tourney, but he and Andy were teammates with two of the greatest skateboarders of all time, Carroll and Koston, both goofy foots by the way.
Also, I just noticed that Rudy Johnson was on their team.
He's regular footed but he's fucking dope too.

OH SHIT, one more thing, when I go to Japan next week I am going to be attending my very first Japan League baseball game.
Always wanted to check one out.

Junji-san, Otanjoobi Omedeto Gozaimasu!

That means Happy Birthday if you no speaka the Nihongo.
My main tomodachi from Osaka, Junji Murata, just turned thirty years old.

Check out braddah man's blog piece about it.
Finally fucking with that dirty thirty!

Hahahaha that's fucking amazing, homie becomes a member of the Dirty Thirty crew (which rolls pretty thick) and I'm on my way out in a few months, soon to be down with the Sporty Fortys (not so deep of a posse' but a few heads do represent)
Even later in life, the Nifty Fifty shredders are practically non-existent, so I got that to look forward to with fellow grandpas.

Anyway, Happy Birthday again to my boy Junji.

Keep the camera rolling, Soundboarding is my shit!

Kampai, homie...

Time to get your fade on!

EVERYONE GO TO THIS!

I'm unfortunately going to be out of town when this is taking place, but everyone who can make it most definitely should go and support my mainest man Kenny.

Extra special mahalo to Cuzzo for moving on this so quickly and big thanks to everyone involved.

Back To The Grind

Took a minute off from this horseshit to deal with some personal biz involving one of my dearest friends in the entire world.
Kind of made me realize how unimportant a lot of stuff in life is, and also how important life itself is.
Basically its okay to say fuck all this Internet shit, it's mostly worthless for the most part anyway.
The way I feel right now is that you should live your life in real life, it's right there and you should make the most of it while you can because tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, and that's really as real as real gets.

Anyway, couple of things I noticed this week out there in the skateboard world:

First we have my man Jef Hartsel showing up on the Element website in a little video clip of their summer camp festivities that went on recently that Jef was invited to take place in.

This is Jef about to re-enter some transition via a Texas plant, classic Harts for sure.
Check out the whole clip here.

Also sighted just today on the front page of crailtap.com is a photo featuring my homegirl Jaime Reyes standing by as Harold Hunter snaps a Polaroid of some hipster.

I wonder if she beat anybody up that night.
Speaking of Jaime, she texted me the other day and the summary of the message was that she ripped Nate Sherwood a new asshole.
More on this as it develops.
