Holy shit, I cannot believe that this has been on the Internet for over three months and I only just saw this the other day!
Gotta say mahalo and big ups to my bumbaclotty bredren in L.A. Jordan deOliveira for bringing this to my attention, after all it is only fitting since I was the one who first introduced him to the subject of this post during a visit home a couple of years ago, much to his delight and I must add that this led to many, many back-to-back YouTube viewings and fits of uncontrollable laughter and hysterics.
Oh shit, son!
Eli Porter done deed it one more time, and this time the shit is really real!
I, like many of my contemporaries, am beyond excited to know that there is an actual documentary film coming out soon entitled People's Champion that delves deep into the story of Eli Porter and all of the wonderfully awesome accompanying supporting players that made up the unforgettable video of that mind-blowing and downright legendary freestyle battle that took place in that classroom at Chamblee High School seven long years ago.
If you're anything like me, and by that I mean completely captivated and mesmerized by anything having to do with Eli, Envy, Marv-O, J-Dub and the rest of the gang, you can read an interview with Walker Warren, the maker of this eagerly anticipated documentary, right here, courtesy of the website Refined Hype.
So fucking stoked that this is a real, actual thing and not some stupid spoof.
I mean I haven't been this excited for a movie since I learned that there was a real film made about competitive Donkey Kong playing.
