I've never heard of True Sk8board Mag before but I got a text from Sean Reilly the other day and he hipped me to the fact that he has an interview with them on their website right now.
Nice little talk with the Bedpan, in this particular Q & A he covers a short but sweet variety of topics ranging from the typical rawness of being on your average NK tour to the bowel movements of A'ala Park transvestites.
Definitely worth a read and the photos were shot by Skillet.

Quartersnacks Review of Natural Koncept's Creepin' For Life
New York City's finest online skateboard resource Quartersnacks has just dropped an incredibly well-written piece detailing and analyzing the latest video offering from Hawaii's own Natural Koncept which is of course entitled Creepin' For Life.
The video was recently released on DVD but I'm not sure it's in shops as of right now but I would love to see it if anyone has it HINT SEAN REILLY HINT I really need to see this.
Anyway, the review itself references local braddahs like pool god Kale Sandridge, who shares a part with Choppy Omega, Chris Kays skating in surf shorts, Sean Reilly abusing himself into a well-deserved last part, and even the brief cameo of the rarely seen these days Tall Man himself Sean Payne.
Quartersnacks, as always, kills it with the writing and content, this is how skate scene websites should be done.
Can't wait to see the video finally, of course for the inclusion of all the local cats, but also I want to be able to at long last see the footage of this drop in to rock fakie executed by JZ himself, Josh Zickert.
Also, recently saw via Instagram that Katch has been kicking it with Sean Reilly and putting in a little bit of work lately, fucking awesome!

Danny Way's Kauai Mega Ramp
Word of this has been floating around for many, many years and now it seems as if it has finally really happened.
Local skaters have known about Princeville resident Danny Way having a home on Kauai for a long time now, and there were always rumors about him building this thing or that, would it be a gigantic plaza, would it be a mega structure, or would it be some kind of freakish video game course?
The Danny Way documentary Waiting For Lightning has just recently premiered and apparently in the film you can finally see what he came up with for his massive Kauai property, but for now peep this little clip for a sample:
Also, it seems that Danny is skating his new creation on the cover of the June issue of Thrasher, so there's probably a full article about the movie and the ramp in the issue as well:
Can't wait to see the mag and the documentary, they're sure to be mind-blowing and awe-inspiring just like everything Danny has done for his entire career.

Deathwish Town & Country Homage
Never been a huge fan of the Deathwish brand but Ellington and Greco are still some serious shredders these days and that ain't easy to do once you get to be in your dirty thirties, believe that.

Genius.

Check out Ellington's gorilla grip steez!

Team board on some Yin and Yang shit.

Huge fan of the baseball 3/4 sleeve shirts, this one is a must get.
All-around rad idea, and exceptionally well executed on the art end of things I must say.
If you're too young to know where they got the inspiration for this whole thing, here are a few examples for reference:

I wonder if Craig and Linda are feeling this?
Me, my favorite Death Wish graphic will always be this one:
Anyway, these dudes are not only killing it on board but also straight up running the show over there on some boss shit, definitely a fan of company owners that can throw down impressive shit not only in the field but also in the corporate boardroom as well.
Although I am not really into their whole dirtbag/pile/scumbag party vibe, I do recognize that there are a lot of kids out there who are, and Deathwish always responds accordingly by giving the people what they want, although I'm not sure that the majority of their core demographic will get where they're coming from with their new summer line, some of which is inspired by Hawaii's own Town & Country Surf Designs.
Being a senior skate citizen myself, I am really feeling the whole '80s vibe that they went with here:

Danny Hamaguchi and Matt Chaffin @ The DC Embassy Barcelona
A few months ago, this little clip of Hawaii's own Danny Hamaguchi and Matt Chaffin shredding the DC Embassy in Barcelona with Spaniard legend Enrique Lorenzo was posted on Vimeo, maybe you saw it maybe you didn't, in case you haven't seen it check it out:
Now there's another clip that highlights these braddahs getting down at the same spot:
This was actually put up on Vimeo 2 weeks ago, which as you know is an eternity in Internet time, so forgive me if this is old news to you but I just saw it today and I'm stoked as fuck.
